Mario Kart Tour has been out on the cell phone for quite some time. And, let’s face it, one of Nintendo’s biggest and most well-known franchises seemed to be really made for it. Check it out. Short, simple and extremely funny gameplay that you can and want to play at any time of the day. Preferably against other living people. Because the plague factor is huge in the game. Unfortunately it beamed Nintendo in the pitfall called free to play, the game was overloaded with microtransactions and far too expensive subscriptions. The structure of the game was even overhauled with a point system.
Mario Kart without multiplayer is not a Mario Kart
And to top it all off, there was no multiplayer. How? Mario Kart without multiplayer. That’s like a beer served lukewarm. It is possible, but it is not really tasty. Because of all these issues, we at Gamekings were not entirely happy with the game. And that hurt, because Mario Kart is very dear to us.
What is free with multiplayer?
That misery now seems to have come to an end with the update that multiplayer adds to the game. Just download (free) and you can finally show the world how a kart drives and how you drop a banana peel in the right place on the track. Daan and JJ put the game back on their mobile and went to battle. Did it all work smoothly? Was the multiplayer identical to the Switch version? And what was free and what was not?
