Mario Gomez Choose Borneo FC Not for Money

The coach from Argentina Mario Gomez officially back to Borneo FC. Mario Gomez emphasized that his comeback decision was not only about money.

Mario Gomez has officially signed a two-season contract with Borneo FC at the Segiri Samarinda Stadium on Friday (21/8/2020). The former coach of Arema FC revealed that comfort and good relations were a consideration for him wanting to handle the Pesut Etam squad again.

“My reason is because this is not only about contracts and salaries. What is more important is the preparation for me. Be it from communications and relationships. I have a good relationship with Nabil, management and everyone here,” he said. Mario Gomez.

“Right now for me the most important thing is good relations and communication. Last season we worked well together, everything was together like a family. The most important thing is that we can work together like a family.”

Borneo FC start Shopee Liga 1 2020 by promising. The team from East Kalimantan perched in third place in the standings with a collection of six points from two wins from the first three matches.

“Borneo started this season very well and we have to continue on the same path. We will always try to win. I always say to take it one step at a time,” continued Gomez.

Meanwhile, the President of Borneo FC Samarinda, Nabil Husein, said that Mario Gomez was re-elected as the head coach of Borneo FC because he felt comfortable with Mario.

“I am comfortable with coach Mario. I already know how coach Mario is on the field and off the field personally with coach Mario. That’s what impressed me to prioritize coach Mario to return to the field. Borneo FC,” he said.
