MILAN (AP) — Inter Milan prepared for the Champions League final by beating Torino 1-0 on Saturday in the final game of Serie A.
Marcelo Brozović scored in the 37th minute with a powerful shot from outside the box with an assist from Romelu Lukaku.
Edin Džeko hit the post near the end after combining on a play with Lukaku.
It was Inter’s 11th win in 12 games, moving them to second place in Serie A ahead of Lazio’s clash with Empoli later on.
Inter faces Manchester City next Saturday in the Champions League final in Istanbul. City beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final and is close to the treble, after winning the Premier League.
Inter could also get a third of titles – although not at the level of City. Simone Inzaghi’s team won the Italian Cup and the Super Cup this season.
