Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo advance to the quarterfinals French Open 2021 after beating Mark Lamsfuss / Marvin Seidel (Germany) in the round of 16 with a score of 21-19, 21-16.

Tight score again occurred in the second set. Marcus/Kevin had a 4-1 lead, but Lamsfuss/Seidel equalized to 4-4. The Minions then led 7-5, but Lamsfuss/Seidel managed to turn things around to 9-7, and closed the interval with the score 11-9.

After the break, Marcus/Kevin managed to get up. Three points in a row can be achieved, turning things around to 12-11. Lamsfuss / Seidel had equalized to 12-12, but that was where the tight resistance was given.

Marcus / Kevin were then able to move away with a 16-12 advantage. Although Lamsfuss/Seidel had narrowed the gap to 15-17, Marcus/Kevin finally managed to close the second set with a 21-16 advantage. Thanks to this result, Marcus/Kevin will challenge Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi (Malaysia) in the last eight.

Previously, Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Ribka Sugiarto has also confirmed a ticket to the quarter-finals after overthrowing Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan (Malaysia) with a score of 21-12, 23-21 in 41 minutes.

Next, Siti/Ribka will meet the winner between Alyssa Tirtosentono/Imke Van Der Aar (Netherlands) vs Kim Soyeong/Kong Heeyong (South Korea).
