Marco Borsato has posted a message on social media for the first time in a long time. The singer has kept quiet since the allegations of sexual misconduct, but on Sunday he shared a compliment to his son Luca on Instagram.
Luca released his new single last Friday Blame It On The Wine and his father is proud of that. In his Instagram Stories, the singer writes to Luca that he “follows his heart and passion without the help of a record company or management”. “Composing, studio work, look and feel, artwork, you really do everything yourself”.
Luca received death threats because of the accusations against his father. Plans to release his music were then stopped, but Luca decided to release his music himself, as he previously shared on Instagram.
In March it was announced that the investigation against Borsato over the allegations during The voice of Holland is dismissed due to a lack of evidence.
There is still a sex investigation against the singer following a report in December 2021. That report was not related to the TV program. It is not yet known whether this case will also be dropped. Borsato filed a counter-declaration for libel and slander.
