Marc Marquez Wants Racing in Andalusia MotoGP, Doctors Explain Page all

KOMPAS.com – rider Repsol Honda, Marc Marquez, reportedly considering the possibility of returning to action at MotoGP Andalusia.

As for the series MotoGP Andalusia will take place in Jerez Circuit, starting Friday (24/7/2020), three days after Marc Marquez underwent surgery on his arm which was broken by an accident in the Spanish series.

One Spanish newspaper, El Periodico de Catalunya reported, Marc Marquez’s hopes to start the race at the Andalusian MotoGP came after the joint operation of Dr. Xavier Mir, Tuesday (07/21/2020), running smoothly.

The smooth operation was accompanied by the ambition of Marc Marquez who did not want to return to lose points on MotoGP 2020.

Previously, Marc Marquez had lost points when appearing at the Spanish MotoGP last weekend.

One rider who will be registered at the Andalusian MotoGP is Alex Marquez, Marc Marquez’s younger brother and teammate at Repsol Honda.

The decision of Repsol Honda to register one rider in the Andalusian MotoGP could not be separated from their concerns about Marc Marquez’s condition.

Marc Marquez is feared to have to undergo a longer healing time when he falls back on the Andalusian MotoGP series.

Nevertheless, Marc Marquez, still considering returning to racing in the second MotoGP series.

Marc Marquez’s desire to immediately continue MotoGP 2020 then reap the response of the doctor, Xavier Mir.

Doctor Vavier Mir explained that Marc Marquez was still targeted to just race back in the third series at the Brno Circuit.

“He (Marc Marquez) felt better than expected because initially had some concern about injury to the radial nerve, which is quite common when someone has a humerus (arm bone) injury like this,” said Dr. Mir, quoted from Crash.net.

“This allows Marc Marquez to begin recovery from today. He starts with therapies to reduce hematoma, and he will make a recovery in the shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands,” said Dr. Mir.

Furthermore, Dr. Mir asserted that although Marc Marquez’s injury did not reach the radial nerve, the possibility of the rider to return to appearing at the Brno Circuit was still at 50 to 50.

“Without affecting the radial nerve, the ‘door is only half open’ to return to the Brno Circuit. However, still, there is still a possibility he will race there,” said Dr. Mir.

“He is fine, cheerful, as usual, hoping to be able to race again to try to fight for this world championship,” said Dr. Mir.
