Marc Marquez Makes Debut with Gresini Racing on Ducati at MotoGP Valencia 2023 Test

Marc Marquez for the first time trying out a motorbike Ducati together Gresini Racing. The Baby Alien showed positive results in the session MotoGP Valencia 2023 tees.

Marquez’s contract together Repsol Honda ending at the end of the 2023 season. MM93 decided to move to the Gresini Racing team after spending 11 years in the Honda uniform.

Marquez also changed his ride from the RC213V Honda motorbike to the Ducati Desmosedici GP23. The eight-time world champion used his new motorbike in the MotoGP post season test at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia, Tuesday (28/11/2023).

Marc Marquez looks comfortable and has no trouble driving the GP23 on the track. He can even compete with other riders in recording the best time.

Marquez’s best result was made on the 46th lap. The Baby Alien recorded the fastest time of 1 minute 29.424 seconds.

This record made Marquez the fourth fastest racer throughout the test session. His time was only 0.171 seconds behind Maverick Vinales who was in first place.

Team manager Gresini Racing, Michele Masini, said the Valencia 2023 test session went extraordinary for his team. He also appreciated the performance of Marquez, who had just joined but was already able to adapt to his new motorbike.

“Today was incredible for the team. The feeling was great on both sides of the garage,” Gresini team manager Michele Masini told MotoGP.com

“About Marc, I can’t talk, but you can see his lap times…,” he added.

“We are a little tired after this long season, but now we can’t wait to start the new season. Always grounded, but with this atmosphere we can work very well next year,” Masini revealed.
