Cd. Victoria, Tamaulipas.- Knowing that the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) ruled that there would be no failures at the end of the current school year 2020-2021, many parents did not give importance to the Learn at Home strategy nor did they worry about why their children met school requirements. In some cases, they even supported not following the online classes.
The president of the National Federation of Parents Associations (FENAPAF), Leopoldo García López, acknowledged that just as many students could not continue with distance classes due to lack of equipment and connectivity, many others did not follow simply due to lack of will, and the worst, with the complacency of their parents.
In this sense, he told the mothers and fathers who supported that, not to blame the teachers if later the children arrive with a grade of 6, or worse, they do not understand the issues or do not want to attend school because they feel some kind of pressure.
In those cases, he indicated, the educational lag in which these students may be is not the fault or responsibility of the teachers, but of the parents themselves.
