There will be several changes when the government’s new travel rules are updated on Monday night. At the same time, the police report that several people misunderstand the travel rules.

Another week of new entry rules, in addition to the end of the joint holiday, means that the police now go out to the police and warn against typical misunderstandings.

Already this weekend, they faced challenges, writes Østlendingen. Many had thought that Värmland, which is now turning green, also means that all border crossings are open.

However, that is not true.

– We have received several calls from people who are at a closed border crossing. Then they are referred on to one of the transitions that are open, says operations manager in the Inland police district, Bård Einar Hoft, to the newspaper.

He emphasizes that it is not permitted to use border crossings other than those that are open.

They also recommend travelers to use the border crossings at times other than between 1pm and 7pm.

– Have the necessary documentation ready when crossing the border. Then we get a better flow of traffic at the border control, and the waiting time will be shorter, says police station chief Gjermund Thoresen in Kongsvinger.

Friday, July 30th updated the government their assessment of which countries receive quarantine requirements for unvaccinated people on the move. Italy and Iceland are two of the countries that will be orange on Monday night, August 2.

This means that travelers from these countries must, among other things, have a certificate of negative coronation test before entry, test themselves at the border on arrival and they must be in the entry quarantine.

In addition, there will be quarantine requirements for several regions in Sweden and quarantine hotels for travelers from popular holiday islands such as Rhodes and Kos.

The government has also stated that more countries will be green from Monday. This means that entry restrictions and quarantine requirements will be removed for Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria, among others.

Changes will also be made in Sweden from 2 August: Gotland, Halland, Skåne and Stockholm will go from green to orange and thus receive quarantine requirements. At the same time, Norrbotten and Värmland will be green.
