The difference between clouds and sky.

Bobo.id – Many people think if cloud and sky is the same thing.

Even though they seem to be in the same place, do you know that between the clouds and the sky, of course, there are different things.

To find out what the difference between the two is, let’s look at the explanation below!

1. Understanding

Cloud

Cloud is an object with mass (density) that comes from a collection of water droplets or frozen water crystals.

Clouds are above the earth’s surface precisely in the atmosphere layer. Clouds form when water vapor rises and becomes sky dew.

Sky

According to experts, the sky can be interpreted as a layer that covers the surface of the planet Earth.

The sky is the upper part of the earth’s surface and can be classified as the atmosphere.

Earth’s atmosphere is divided into several layers. Each layer consists of several different substances.

2. Forming Process

Cloud

The process of cloud formation starts from hot air containing dots of water vapor rising to the top until it reaches the atmosphere.

The water vapor droplets begin to melt and gradually form clouds.

When clouds form, the water droplets in the cloud will get bigger and heavier over time.

Due to the attraction of the earth, gradually the clouds began to fall down to form rain. Until at one point the clouds turned into dots and fell into rain.

Sky

The process of formation of the sky is still not explained scientifically. Because the sky is related to the process of formation of the atmosphere that occurred billions of years ago.

Not only that, surely many do not know the reason why the sky is blue.

During the day most of the sky will look blue which is sometimes complemented by white clouds.

The blue color of the sky is the result of refraction of sunlight.

Sunlight that passes through the atmosphere layer collides with substances in the sky.

As a result, sunlight will be refracted into various colors and one of them is blue.

However, blue light waves are more dominant because they have a short wavelength compared to other colors.

In the afternoon, the sky is orange in the afternoon. When the sun is lower than the horizon, blue light waves spread out of sight.

But not with orange, orange, and red waves, because these light have the longest wavelength of all visible light waves.

So, the sky in the afternoon is orange or orange, not blue like in the morning and afternoon.

Those are the two differences between cloud and sky. If you describe it, clouds are lumps like cotton hanging in the sky.

While the sky is like a blue dome because of the substances contained in the Earth’s atmosphere.
