Manufacturers have warned: Oil will become more expensive

The reason was last year’s poor sunflower harvest

Oil producers predict an increase in its price in the coming weeks. The state reports retention and expects a decline in values. In the store network, a bottle of 1 liter of oil costs from 3.5 to 5 BGN.

The producers predict that soon the lowest price per liter will be over BGN 4, bTV reports. Some of the reasons lie in last year’s harvest.

“The main factors are the following – last year’s harvest was poor, which led to a decrease in sunflower, not only in Bulgaria but also around the world. Now there is great demand, which has led to a large increase in current. All other production costs have increased.” explains Georgi Veselinov, an oil producer.

There has been an increase for the last year and it is not small, according to the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets. The jump is now 43% over the same period last year. The record was a month ago – the increase was over 52%, but the values are now retained. It is expected to become cheaper, according to the state.

“Because of the tension with energy resources, there will be a price hold, and until the whole crop is harvested, until the old crop is bought, we will see a price hold, then a decline begins. upward trend “, pointed out Vladimir Ivanov from the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets.

Both producers and the state are adamant that the harvest is now good and we will not be left without oil in the shops.
