Al-Marsad newspaper: A circulating video clip documented a citizen narrating his experience with an incorrect prescription sent to him on WhatsApp that caused him kidney disease.
The man, Abu Bassam, said: I developed kidney disease because I tried a healthy recipe that is currently spreading on social media platforms.

He continued: He read a message on WhatsApp that lemon with water on an empty stomach expels toxins and makes him slim. I continued on it for a while and got tired to the point that anything I eat or drink brings it back, so I went to the hospital.
He added: The doctor told me how long have you been doing dialysis. I told her, “You look wrong. I am only in good health,” and she referred me to outpatient clinics.
It almost caused him kidney failure
He added: I met a nutritionist and we had dinner with him. I showed him the analysis and he told me that tomorrow you must come to the emergency room. I went and they examined me and asked me about what I had been eating and drinking recently. I told them about the recipe for water with lemon. He said that it is not good for the kidneys.
