The Qatari Sheikh Jassim offered the Glazer family 7 billion euros, and the British businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe was willing to pay the Americans more than 6 billion euros for the sale of the club. However, both offers were in vain.
The American owners want to wait until 2025 with the hope that the upcoming World Cup in 2026, which will be held in the USA, will increase interest in soccer and the value of the club will increase even more.
