Gomes’s contract with United runs out at the end of this June and he failed to reach a new agreement at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to part with youngster Angel Gomes this summer after Manchester United’s management failed to reach an agreement with the midfielder.
The teen player was presented with a new contract but was not approved by Gomes and his representatives so he would be free from the hands of the Red Devils for free.
Last week Solskjaer issued a statement hoping all the camps reached an agreement but ahead of the trip to Brighton, his intonation changed.
“I have no news, nothing. Looks like he will leave,” Solskjaer answered when asked about Gomes’ future.
“There is no news whatsoever. There is no agreement, in short he will leave.”
Gomes was given the chance to debut by Jose Mourinho in the final match of the 2016/17 season. When he got up from the bench against Crystal Palace and stay in the first team.
Unfortunately contract negotiations are deadlocked. Gomes has struggled to get minutes of playing this season by only making three appearances in the Europa League and has never been in the squad in three matches since restarting the Premier League.
