“Winning a final is always special. Every trophy is special. This team deserved it,” Guendogan told BBC Sport.

“We played very well, the second half was amazing and we deserved to lift another trophy.”

Guendogan also explained how the process of the first goal he scored was created. According to him, it was all planned from the beginning.

“Obviously we knew how we wanted to play the kick-off and we aimed to do that, to catch Erling and try to get the second ball. It was superbly placed and I just had to hit it. Obviously it was a pretty good shot.” Ilkay Guendogan disclose.

Manchester City has now won two trophies after previously winning the Premier League title. Pep Guardiola’s troops have the treble chance by qualifying for the Champions League final.
