A 1:1 draw was enough for the English team after a 3:0 home triumph over Bayern Munich in Wednesday’s quarter-final rematch on the ground of the German opponent. In the fight to advance to the finals, they will meet the record 14-time European champion Real Madrid.

In the 17th minute, Sane received a running pass from Musial, but he ended his independent escape with a shot near Ederson’s goal. In just a moment, the blood of the home supporters really froze in their veins after Upamecano received a red card for a tackle on Haaland. However, VAR revealed the offside of the Norwegian striker and the referee annulled the penalty for the Bayern stopper. The team from Munich did not take advantage of several good opportunities in the first half and almost conceded in the 38th minute. After the hand of Upamecan in the penalty area, Haaland placed the ball on the penalty spot, but shot over Sommer’s goal.
At the end of the first half, Bayern got the word again, but Musiala did not burn Ederson, and Coman and Kimmich’s shots were blocked by the guests.
