One of three men suspected of stealing Lady Gaga’s dogs was sentenced to four years in prison in California on Wednesday. During the robbery in February 2021, the singer’s dog walker was shot.
Ryan Fischer was ambushed by the convicted suspect on Wednesday when he was walking Lady Gaga’s dogs. Another suspect fired the shot that hit Fischer.
The trio took the dogs Koji and Gustav with them. A third dog, Miss Asia, ran away and was later found.
The dogs Koji and Gustav also returned safe back. They were delivered healthy to a Los Angeles police station after Lady Gaga offered a reward of $500,000 (then about $410,000).
Los Angeles Police Department said the suspects were unaware that the dogs were Lady Gaga’s dogs at the time of the kidnapping. They were after the French bulldogs because of their value.
The now convicted 20-year-old suspect has confessed to the crime.
