Man who rammed into Amsterdam police car, suspected of attempted manslaughter | Inland

The NOS reports that. It is not yet clear what the motive of the man is. He has been in hospital since his arrest. Nothing has been disclosed about the nature of his injuries or how the suspect is doing.

The van crashed into a police car three times early on Friday morning. In the police car were two officers, both of whom were slightly injured. They have suffered neck problems, among other things. Then the driver drove towards the Vijzelstraat and rammed two more police motorcycles that stood as a roadblock. The bus got stuck on one of the police motorcycles and caught fire.

The driver was overpowered and arrested with the help of pepper spray. Warning shots were also fired by the police in the incident.

The van that the suspect used has the lettering of a glazing company. The company says it has nothing to do with the incident. They would have sold the bus about two months ago.
