Man shot in Amsterdam, local resident heard several shots

A man was seriously injured in a shooting in the Rivierenbuurt in Amsterdam tonight. The victim was resuscitated on the spot and taken to hospital.

The perpetrator has escaped. Burgernet has been called upon to look out for a light-skinned man with black hair, about 25 years old, dressed in a black tracksuit. The area is scoured to find the man.

An eyewitness tells The Parool that he saw a boy shoot and heard three shots. “He was in his 20s and in no real rush to get away.” Another eyewitness heard five shots

Police are calling on witnesses to come forward.
