In the Dijlestraat in the Antwerp district of Dam, a man was fatally injured on Friday night when he fell from the third floor.

The facts took place on Friday night, shortly after midnight, in the Dijlestraat in the Dam district. A 28-year-old resident had climbed in through a window at the rear of his home. “He had lost his house key and thought he could find it inside,” said police spokesman Sven Lommaert.
The man couldn’t find the key inside either and had some stuff downstairs, so he wanted to leave his apartment again through the window. The neighbors saw how things went wrong and the man fell while climbing out. “He ended up in the courtyard of the adjacent building,” says Lommaert. “The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital in acute life-threatening condition.”
