– I can confirm that a man in his 40s has been found dead at an address in Kristiansand. The circumstances and observations that the reporter and the police have made on the spot make us consider the death suspicious, says on-duty lawyer Henrik Bjugan Hegdahl in the Agder police district to NTB.
It was The Friend of the Fatherland who first reported the death. According to the newspaper, the person was found in Suldalen. The police were notified of the discovery of the deceased at 13.17 on Saturday.
Hegdahl says that the relatives have been notified.
No one has been arrested so far in the case.
– We are now doing technical and tactical investigations on site. In addition, we interview people who may have information in the case.
In a press release, the Agder police district states that they have also requested Kripos for tactical and technical assistance.
Hegdahl will not say whether the man who was found dead is known to the police from earlier.
