A gas station on Laarderhoogtweg in Southeast was robbed tonight. Police arrested a suspect about half an hour later.

After the robbery, the police announced via Burgernet that they were looking for a bald man on a bicycle. Officers searched the area, including the Ikea parking lot.
The suspect was arrested around the corner. He may have been bitten by a police dog. According to a police spokesperson, it was indeed a man on a bicycle.
According to the spokesperson, there was no threat with a weapon in the robbery. It is not yet known whether any loot was taken.
It’s the second robbery in town tonight. A robber threatened on Meeuwenlaan in North with a firearm in a Polish supermarket.
