A bloodied and lifeless man was found at an address on Melkeplassen.

– Around At 21.40, the police went to an address in the area after a report that an injured man was lying outside on a terrace, says Rune Vedeler, the police’s emergency manager, to BT.

– The police arrived at the scene and found an injured man with what appeared to be stab wounds.

The man was quickly taken care of by an ambulance and sent to Haukeland. There he was pronounced dead at 22.24.

The deceased has not been identified and next of kin have not been notified.

Control of three people

The police have control over three people who are at the address.

– These will now be taken to the police station where they will be questioned, the police say.

As of now, these have the status of witnesses, according to task leader Rune Vedeler.

He states that the three are “in charge of the building” where the deceased was found.

The police currently have no idea who caused the stab wounds the deceased sustained.

– Not dangerous for others

BT’s reporter on the scene reports that a large area has been cordoned off and that the police on the scene are armed.

– We do not think it is dangerous for others in the area, says task leader Vedeler.

He says the police will stay at the scene throughout the night.

– Now we are waiting for forensic experts who will carry out more thorough investigations.

Vedeler does not want to comment on whether the police have made a seizure in the case.

Big call out

A number of police cars and an ambulance went out to the Dairy Farm in Laksevåg on Tuesday evening, Pawel Piszczalski told BT.

He lives in the area, and says that an ambulance with blue lights arrived at around 10 p.m.

– Then a civilian police car and ordinary police cars with sirens and blue lights arrived, he says.

Armed police

10–15 minutes later, the ambulance drove away, escorted by two police cars and an ambulance, says Piszczalski.

Just before 11 p.m., he estimates that there are still 5-6 police cars in the area.
