Man Convicted of Domestic Violence in Montluçon – Sentenced to 12 Months in Prison

A man in his thirties was convicted of domestic violence by the Montluçon criminal court (Allier) this Wednesday. According to The mountain, the magistrates found the defendant guilty of having insulted, hit and harassed his partner by SMS. The blows suffered on October 7 would have notably resulted in total incapacity for work (ITT) of two days for the victim.

Shortly before this argument, the latter had announced to her companion that she was going to leave him. The young woman also admitted to having bitten and slapped her partner twice during their three years of living together. The accused also allegedly behaved inappropriately towards his stepson, with whom he no longer got along. In particular, he allegedly forced him to take showers fully clothed to calm him down, our colleagues indicate.

The defendant finally received twelve months of prison ten of which were suspended. His continued pre-trial detention was not extended. The thirty-year-old will have the obligation to take care of himself and work. Conversely, he will be prohibited from having contact with the victim, who was acquitted for the violence.
