Manchester City had to work hard to beat Everton in Premier League last weekend. Pep Guardiola believe the matches in the rest of this season will not be much different difficult.
City had difficulty breaking into Everton’s goal in the match at Goodison Park, Sunday (27/2/2022) early morning hrs. Eventually, The Citizens narrowly won 1-0 thanks to Phil Foden’s goal in the 81st minute.
The result was very crucial for City, which Liverpool began to approach after losing to Tottenham Hotspur. City now lead the Premier League standings with 66 points from 27 matches, six points ahead of Liverpool who have only played 26 games.
Pep Guardiola believes victory over Everton will be a good capital for City to face the rest of the season. City have to get used to suffering to win.
“The celebration is because we know how difficult it is,” said Guardiola, as reported by the club’s official website.
“That’s a great example of what the last 11 games will be like. Every game won’t be much different.”
“We will have to fight, suffer and we are able to deal with it. This is the most important thing,” said Guardiola.
