Man City away from Harry Kane, close to Ronaldo

Manchester City reported to be moving away from its main target Harry Kane and is rumored to be approaching Cristiano Ronaldo.

Man City desperately need a new striker and they are looking for England striker Harry Kane. However, an offer of €150 million was not enough for Tottenham to release their flagship player.

After missing the inaugural Premier League match against Man City, Kane is reportedly back in the Tottenham squad to face Portugal’s Pacos de Ferreira in the Europa Conference League play-off, Friday (20/8) early morning WIB.

Thus, Kane’s inclusion in the Tottenham squad confirms that the player will not be sold.

Instead, Man City, reported by Brand, in talks with Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes. Mendes is reportedly offering his client to Man City as an alternative to Harry Kane.

In recent days, Ronaldo is said to have asked the Juventus Board of Directors to let him leave after feeling uncomfortable at the club. Now, 14 days before the summer transfer window closes, anything is still possible.

Ronaldo’s contract at Juventus still has one year left. This means that Juventus will have to sell Ronaldo this year if they don’t want to lose him for free next season, having spent around 100 million euros to bring him from Real Madrid.

If this transfer actually happens it will be very surprising for the world of football considering that in his past Ronaldo shone with his beloved City’s neighboring club, Manchester United.
