The incident happened in August, in Indonesia, but only now has the story been revealed to the world. Josua Hutagalung, 33, saw her home hit by a meteorite. Despite the damage, especially at the roof level, the truth is that this meteorite earned you 1.5 million euros.

According to the British newspaper Metro, the space stone weighed just over two kilograms and was about 4.5 billion years old. It was classified as a carbonaceous chondrite CM1 / 2, an extremely rare variety that, for that reason, can cost around 721 euros a gram.

Speaking to a local TV, Josua Hutagalung said that…

When I lifted it up, the stone was still warm and I brought it home. The crash was so great that parts of the house shook. I went to see what had happened and saw that the roof was broken.

I had strong suspicions that this stone was an object from the sky that many people call a meteorite Because it was impossible for anyone to deliberately throw it up there

Upon receiving such a fortune, Josua has already revealed that he would use the money to build a church in the community where he lives in Kolang, in the province of North Sumatra. To The Sun, Josua admitted: "I also always wanted to have a daughter and I hope this is a sign that I am lucky enough to still have one".

The stone was purchased by Jay Piatek, a doctor and meteorite collector from Indianapolis.
