The incident happened last week, when a person was working in a room that was being refurbished. Later it turned out that the man was infected with the South African variant of the coronavirus, writes NRK.
Two days later, another person entered the room and became infected.
– We know that there have been a number of cases of infection via contact surfaces, but it is not the most common form of infection, says chief medical officer Tommy Aune Rehn in Levanger in Trøndelag.

What they have taken to transmit the infection is not known, but it is likely that it may be a tool used in the renovation work.
– We know that the South African variety is more contagious. But whether it is more contagious via surfaces, we do not know, says the municipal chief.
Specialist in general medicine Ingard Løge says this type of infection is one of the rarities.
– It may constitute one per thousand of all infections, says Løge.
