Malaysia Will Soon Launch First Local Electric Car, Prices Below Rp. 176 Million

KUALA LUMPUR, KOMPAS.comMalaysia one step away from reportedly owning their first local electric car called MyKar.

Electric car this was made by startup electric car local, EV Innovations. The price is less than 50,000 ringgit (Rp. 176 million).

They are collaborating with Automotive Malaysia, Robotics, and the IoT Institute (MARii), as well as Ingress Corporation Berhad to develop this project.

“Although we have come a long way from the proof of our first concept prototype, there is still a way to go to achieve our vision,” said EV Innovations. World of Buzz, Friday (2/4/2021).

EV added that they remain open to various offers from partners who also dream of completing this project.

The EV prototype car adopted the shape of the Honda Jazz, and the goal of making it one was one that was affordable, practical, and easy to integrate into the Malaysian automotive ecosystem today.

GoodyMY reported that this electric car weighs 1,016 kg with a 28.7 kWh lithium-ion phosphate (LiFePO4) battery.

Charging speed is 4.3 hours with a capacity of 6.6 kW.

This electric car can go up to 140 km / hour with a distance of 300 km.
