Malaga taxi drivers demand that the VTC be regulated once

The Malagueña Association of Taxi Autonomous, AMAT, have gathered in a peaceful demonstration with the aim of claiming from the Junta de Andalucía and the Malaga City Council the urgent need to regulate VTC vehicles.

From the sector they claim that there is a legal tool, which was approved in a Royal Decree Law in the Congress of Deputies by an absolute majority, which regulates VTC vehicles and that you just have to comply with it.

“The competent administrations are the ones that have to regulate this type of vehicle since there are many that are operating illegally in all the cities of Andalusia, but especially in Malaga and the Costa del Sol.”

The sector is going through a very difficult time economically as a result of the Covid-19 health crisis and it would be very important that the aid from the European Economic Community go directly to the sector to maintain it in these difficult times.

For this reason, as they have explained, the most important thing is that the sector does not decline, because many families from Malaga depend on these aid since right now many jobs are directly and indirectly in danger.
