Make Pangling! This is how AirAsia flight attendants take taxis online

Malaysian airline, AirAsia making new business breakthroughs in the midst of the sluggish aviation business. They are now entering the ride-hailing business, aka online transportation.

The name of the newly launched service is AirAsia Ride. In fact, AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes himself introduced this service on his personal Instagram @tonyfernandes. He uploaded several videos about this new service.

Uniquely, in some of the videos that Tony uploaded on his Instagram account, some showed flight attendants and AirAsia pilots becoming AirAsia Ride drivers.

View detik.com, Monday (30/8/2021), there were several flight attendants complete with red-red AirAsia uniforms got into the car, fastened their seatbelts, and posed in front of the camera. There is also a pilot posing behind the wheel of a car.

In another video, it can be seen that there are cars that are used as online taxis with the AirAsia Ride logo attached. In addition, several online taxi drivers were also caught on camera wearing red T-shirts with the AirAsia Ride logo.

Previously, Tony himself explained that the new online taxi service from AirAsia was only available in Malaysia, to be precise in Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley first. Later, the expansion will be carried out nationally.

Tony also said that his party plans to launch the AirAsia Ride service in other countries. Several Southeast Asian countries have become his targets, starting from Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia is no exception.

“The response from the drivers (in Malaysia) has been amazing and the public is really looking forward to this service,” Tony said at the virtual launch.
