An event organized by the agricultural community is taking place in Gard from Thursday January 25, 2024.

The A9 and A54 motorways have been closed to traffic since 6 a.m. this morning
The A9 motorway is closed between the Orange interchange and the Montpellier-Est interchange (since 3 p.m.). Entrances and exits on the Gallargues interchange are no longer possible.
The A54 motorway is closed between the Nîmes-Ouest interchange and the Nîmes-Garons interchange
The secondary network is very impacted:
In Pont-St-Esprit, disruption at the roundabout between the RN 86 and the RD 138,
In Nîmes, blocking of the Delta kilometer roundabout (Nîmes-West),
In Gallargues, disruption at the Brico-Dépot/Royal-Canin roundabout.

The A9 motorway is closed between the Orange interchange and the Gallargues le Montueux interchange – Recommended exit at the Lunel interchange
The A54 motorway is closed between the Nîmes-Ouest interchange and the Nîmes-Garons interchange
The secondary network is very impacted:
In Pont-St-Esprit, disruption at the roundabout between the RN 86 and the RD 138,
In Nîmes, blocking of the Delta kilometer roundabout (Nîmes-West),
In Nîmes, the western sectors of the city and the Nîmes metropolitan area are saturated,
In Nîmes, the Nîmes-Est segment towards Marguerittes is also very impacted,
The axes around the Gallargues-le-Montueux (A9) and Nîmes-Garons (A54) interchanges are particularly saturated.
To deal with the management of events, the prefect of Gard opens the departmental operational center (crisis unit for state services and its partners).
Given the risks of disruption that may occur in the Gard, the prefect of the South defense and security zone regulates traffic on the A9 and A54 motorways by prefectural decree.
Therefore :
- The A9 motorway will be closed on Thursday January 25 from 6 a.m. between the Nîmes-Est interchange and the Gallargues interchange.
- The A54 motorway will be closed on Thursday January 25 from 6 a.m. between the Nîmes-Ouest interchange and the Nîmes-Garons interchange.
- The secondary network should be severely disrupted.
The population is asked:
- to avoid the area of the demonstration;
- to postpone travel as much as possible;
- not to engage on roads closed or blocked by demonstrators.
