In the category “For outstanding work in an ensemble”, a cellist is applying for the Grand Music Prize Inga Ozolapianists Rihards Pleshanovs an arfist Ieva Shablovska.

Concertmaster of the cello group of the Latvian National Opera Orchestra Inga Ozola in addition to the daily opera and ballet performances, he regularly plays music in various instrumental and vocal-instrumental ensembles, last year he gave concerts in Riga cultural places, Daugavpils and Preiļu Park, Jelgava Palace and Ungurmuiža Opera Festival, Dobele Lilac Garden and other places. Inga Ozola calls the joy of playing and chamber music together with like-minded people her greatest artistic fulfillment.

Pianists Rihards Pleshanovs is a piano quartet Quadra and ensemble Arcade co-founder, collaborated with the Latvian Radio Choir and Kremerata Baltica, LNSO and Liepāja Symphony Orchestra. Together with double bassist Oskars Bokanova, he introduced Czech music and the work of Andras Dzenīš Iron-Woodwith Sinfonietta Riga played Dmitri Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet for soloists in the “Zuzeum” art gallery, and also played music with saxophonist Kārli Auzin on the opening night of the “Arena” New Music Festival.

Ieva Shablovska is the concertmaster of the harp group of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, has collaborated in stylistically diverse programs with all the leading orchestras of Latvia, including the Latvian Radio Big Band and VAK “Latvija”, the Latvian Radio Choir and the choirs “Kamēr…”, “Sōla” and “Balsis”, as well as a musician in various chamber compositions – in the wooden ensemble “Raksti”, in a duet with his spouse, saxophonist Ainaras Šablovski, Trio SILK and Angelic Trio. Together with a chamber orchestra Symphony Concertante and the authors at the conductor’s desk in 2022, Andras Vecumnieks Concerto for harp and orchestra was premiered.
