There are no trains running between Meppel and Steenwijk for the time being. According to the rail carrier’s travel planner, travelers between Meppel and Steenwijk will be inconvenienced by the disruption until approximately 4 p.m.
The disruption between Steenwijk and Meppel started around half past eight this morning. According to the NS, a defective overhead line is the culprit. Buses are deployed so that travelers can still continue their journey. That already led to quite a crowd at Meppel Station.
There was a points fault between Zwolle and Meppel this morning. They also shut down that connection, but the fault was resolved during the morning.
