Major collision with seventeen vehicles on A20 near Rotterdam | Inland

Photos from Rijkswaterstaat show how a large row of cars appears to have collided with each other. According to a spokesperson for the Rotterdam-Rijnmond Safety Region, a total of 25 people have been checked by ambulance personnel. Two of them were taken to hospital, but no serious injuries were reported. “Nobody was trapped and the fire brigade did not have to free anyone,” said the spokesman. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

The Rotterdam-Overschie access ramp is also closed in the direction of Gouda. Traffic from Hoek van Holland and Europoort will be diverted via the A15 and A16.

According to the ANWB, the delay behind the accident is increasing, people are stuck for about an hour.
