The housekeeper emphasizes that he is very happy to continue the work he has started and it is gratifying that the work is appreciated.
“I consider Liepāja to be the best place to work and live, because Liepāja is developing in all areas and both the club and the sports school provide us with excellent conditions for development. We just have to work,” the club quotes Mājenieks.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the club’s board Anrijs Ozoliņš notes that the works made by Mājenieks reflect his professional approach and attitude to work. “The thoughts of the club and Kaspars coincide with our long-term plans for the development of women’s basketball,” says Ozoliņš.
The homeowner took over the reins of the Liepāja team from Armands Misus, who was helped when he was working in the predecessor of the wind city club.
He has led several Latvian youth women’s teams. In 2017, the M-16 team led by Mājenieks won the fourth place in the European Championship and got a ticket to the U-17 World Cup, where he took the eighth position. The team of the same year last year was seventh in the European U-18 Championship.
Last season, the Liepāja women’s basketball team was awarded the second place in the Latvian championship. Liepaja women won bronze in the Baltic League.
