Maintenance work at Sky: outages are inevitable from today

As of tonight, the PayTV provider is carrying out structural maintenance measures on its systems and announces that subscribers will have to adjust to restrictions.

System updates and maintenance work are essential for the best possible reception paths – and still not very popular with users. This may well be due to the deviations and restrictions on use that are possible during the processes.

As of tonight, the customers of the PayTV provider Sky will have to expect corresponding restrictions. Sky customer service informs users of this in its Community Area,

Sky Q (receiver and app)

  • The Sky PIN or youth protection PIN cannot be changed via the receiver.
  • Registration for Netflix via Sky Q is not possible.
  • No access to extra.

Special features for new customers:

  • Cannot use the Sky Go app.
  • A new Sky Q cannot be installed and used.
  • No new access / new PIN for 18+ can be requested.

For Sky Ticket customers the following functions will not be available:

  • change personal data
  • Manage payment method
  • Manage device list
  • Manage child protection PIN
  • Age verification via email link
  • Booking of Sky Supersport day tickets

at Sky Extra restrictions are also to be expected:

  • Login into the extra area not possible
  • No new registration

Also the “My Sky” app will not be usable.

Restrictions on “My Sky” on the web

  • change personal data

  • Manage device list
  • Manage child protection PIN

Sky Store, Sky Select and Blue Movie are not available or only to a limited extent.

The maintenance work starts today January 7th at 10 p.m. and should by Afternoon of January 9th last for.
