The new Main-Spessart Central Hospital is taking on more concrete forms – the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building is scheduled to take place in Lohr on Monday afternoon. Prime Minister Markus Söder is also there.
It is a milestone for the new clinic: construction of the later access road to the clinic site began in mid-August.
The long-planned million dollar project is scheduled to be on the site of the district hospital by the end of 2026. It will accommodate 280 beds and a medical center. The total costs: More than 157 million euros.
