“The camera is so close to the actress’s face for almost two hours that we can almost feel her breath. This is an absolute acting discovery” – was the justification for the award for Magdalena Koleśnik honored by Onet at the Gdynia festival.
The actress, who will be shown in theaters on June 18, in the lead role in the movie “Sweat”, she gave interview for “Wysokie Obcasy” magazine.
The subject of body positivity, as Koleśnik says, close to her, appears on the subject of “Sweat”. – I remember getting used to the fact that I have stretch marks on my breasts. For a long time I felt wronged by nature, because why do I have them, if I was not pregnant? – the actress recalls.
– Once, during rehearsals for a performance in which we played naked, one of my friends said to me, “come here to me with those tits with stretch marks” – he adds, emphasizing that these were not words from the “harassment” category: which, in a sense, healed me. It seemed to me that maybe people couldn’t see them, maybe the light was masking them. But no, people saw that I had these “sunshine” and for that reason they neither rejected me nor liked me less.

Kolesnik is asked about the idea of introducing nudity coordinators on film sets. She talks about her work in “Kamienie na szaniec” by Robert Gliński, when she had to intervene herself.
– I figured nobody would do it for me, so I stood in the middle and said: now we are going to play a scene with elements of nudity and I ask that the part of the crew that is not necessary here leave – he reports. He adds that in another project there was a situation where, after many requests, people who should not be there were still on the set: – So I approached them as I was standing and said “fuck out”. It worked, but why do it?
In context a violent scandal talks about an interview she had with one of the directors about “double standards”. – I was treated differently than a more famous and experienced actor. I dared – he says. He emphasizes that he appreciates the position Bartosz Bielenia – privately his stepbrother – who admitted that he himself is a “perpetrator of violence”, because he participated in the so-called fuchsia in theater schools.
