He explained that there were four scenarios with possible effects from the earthquake which will be located in Insurgentes and Reforma; Plinth; Central Axis and Flores Magón, and Cuauhtémoc and Northern Division.
In Mexico City, 22 thousand police officers will participate, 60 paramedics, more than 30 search and rescue specialists, who will be supported with 20 motor scooters, 12 ambulances and four special rescue units.
In addition the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro said it will participate, without interrupting service or train traffic.
Through a statement, the agency said it has an action protocol in case of an earthquake, which involves all areas that “work strategically, coordinated and orderly, with the aim of safeguarding the physical integrity of users and workers ”.
For the State of Mexico, Civil Protection announced that the seismic alert will be activated in the C5 speakers in some colonies of 20 of its municipalities.
2020 Macrosimulacros
This mega drill is the first of three planned for this 2020.
According to the head of the National Civil Protection Coordination, David León Romero, in 2020 three earthquake macrosimulators will be carried out, the first was today, the next in May and the last in September.
Citizens are invited to register their properties to know who will participate in the macrosimulacro.
