French President Emmanuel Macron has said his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, made a historic and fundamental mistake in attacking Ukraine. He added that Putin was isolated today, AFP reported.
“I think so and I told him that he made a historic and fundamental mistake for his people, for himself and for history,” Macron said today, marking the 100th anniversary of the conflict in Ukraine.
In an interview with the French regional press, Macron added: “I think he (Putin) is isolated. Locking yourself in isolation is one thing, but knowing how to get out of it is a difficult path,” Macron added.

Deliveries from France of Cesar self-propelled artillery units to the Ukrainian army will be compensated, Macron added.
