Minister of Health of Ukraine Victor Lyashko believes that the current increase in coronavirus disease in the country can be compared with what happened in Italy at the beginning of the pandemic. He urged citizens to be vaccinated.

“Today, Delta is showing such a rapid growth, which was at the beginning of the pandemic in Italy,” Lyashko said.
According to him, the greatest difficulty lies in the fact that many hospitalized – oxygen-dependent patients in serious condition. Therefore, the situation is worse than in the spring.
At the same time, the minister added that the health care system is still coping. There are still opportunities to admit patients in every region, but they are not rubber.
“The vaccine is freely available, you just need to get vaccinated,” he said.
