Here is Manchester United’s new setback.
According to The Athletic, Luke Shaw has picked up a muscle injury and is expected to be out “for an extended period”.

Manchester United announced earlier this week that prestige signing Mason Mount, 24, has injured himself and will be out for some time to come. The club hopes that the midfielder will be back again in connection with the national team break at the beginning of September, but on Wednesday the English newspaper The Telegraph stated that the player could also miss two games after the break.
Now The Athletic reports that United suffered another injury blow.
According to the site, left-back Luke Shaw, 28, has suffered a muscle injury and is expected to be out “for a longer period”. United are said to be still assessing the injury and are said to be hoping for weeks rather than months in terms of the player’s absence.
Shaw has featured in both of United’s games so far in the Premier League. United face Nottingham Forest at home on Saturday, and then Arsenal away in the league before the national team break.
