The Uruguayan footballer stayed at Atlético Madrid for two years, then returned to his homeland, where he played for the Nacional team in Montevideo. At the beginning of 2023, he transferred to the Brazilian Grêmio, where he scored 23 goals in 51 matches.
He played his last game for the Porto Alegre side on Sunday and is expected to soon sign for Inter Miami, where he will be reunited with Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.
