LaLiga has reported this Sunday of the death of Luis Gil, who was active in the historic Mallorca of the 1996/1997 season that achieved promotion to First division. The Valencian, 48 years old and suffering from a long illness, was the director of LaLiga’s Competitions and Player Office.

Luis Gil, born in Pobla de Vallbona (Valencia) on January 28, 1976, He also played for SD Logroñés, Gimnástic de Tarragona, Murcia, Sevilla, Polideportivo Ejido, Elche, Tenerife, Alicante and Alcoyano, the club where he hung up his boots.
