Longest favorite (at 1.8 / 1) in this Grand Prix of the City of Cabourg, event of this Friday July 17 on the Cabourgeais ring, Lover Boy, however the least rich of the lot, justified his rank, flying over the opposition in the final phase.
Before this Grand Prix of the City of Cabourg, Lover Boy (1 – D. Thomain), cadet of this quintet and the least rich of the lot, had not yet experienced defeat in two outings on the right hand side. Philippe Allaire’s boarder remains undefeated on this rope! After following the facilitator, Belle Emotion (4 – G. Gelormini), which has been going well, Lover Boy carried him the blow at the exit of the last turn, before spinning towards a ridiculous success of facility, rallying the detached post. This 5 year old Belgian horse broke the event record, winning in 1’12”8. It should not stop there. Long behind the peloton, Balzac de l’Iton (13 – F. Nivard) finished strong, outside, to take second place, adjusting Caesar Sisu (7 – A. Lamy), which has long been an illusion for the first accessit after having followed on a third row, rope. Dreambreaker (11 – D. Locqueneux), which accelerated sharply in third thickness in the final turn, and Cantin de l’Eclair (12 – T. Le Beller), author of a very correct end of race, complete the arrival of the quinté.
