Louisiana Woman Arrested for Allegedly Strangling 6-Year-Old Stepdaughter and Depositing Her Remains in Biological Mother’s Garden

A particularly appalling news item has been shaking the small town of Harahan, in the state of Louisiana, for the past few days.

After committing her crime, the alleged murderer went even further in horror. A 43-year-old woman was arrested a few days ago in Harahan (USA) for the murder of her 6-year-old stepdaughter. After having strangled the child of her spouse, the suspect would have deposited his remains in the garden of the biological mother of the victim.

As related Fox News, it all started with an alert launched by the girl’s father on April 26. Around 7:30 a.m., the latter went to the police station in this small town in Louisiana to report the disappearance during the night of his partner and his 6-year-old daughter, who was sleeping at home that evening.

According to the American media, the body of the child was quickly found … in front of the house of his biological mother, who lived not far from the home of his former spouse. By studying the CCTV images of the neighborhood, the investigators then witnessed a stunning scene.

On the night of April 25 to 26, a camera located between the father’s house and that of the mother thus filmed the mother-in-law of the deceased girl dragging a cart on which was a plastic bucket. The hypothesis of the police is that this bucket contained the body of the little girl, who had just been killed. The forties would then have thrown the corpse in the garden of the former companion of her spouse.

“It’s really inhuman”

The autopsy having confirmed the violent death of the child, probably by strangulation, an arrest warrant was filed against the mother-in-law, who was arrested on Wednesday April 29 in a hospital. Placed in detention, she is accused of “first degree murder”, but also of having obstructed justice.
