Insigne has been linked with teams across Europe, but the Euro 2020 champion will spread his wings on July 1 as he prepares to head to Canada.
What’s the deal for Insigne?
Insigne first joined Napoli in 2006 and passed through their academy system before reaching the first team.
A loan spell at the start of his senior career meant that Insigne had many opportunities to play in the Napoli first team since the 2012/13 season.
Insigne has made 414 appearances for Napoli so far, scoring 114 goals to make him fourth in both appearances and all-time leading goalscorers.
Insigne will soon end his career with Napoli, with Toronto FC awarding him a five-year contract worth around €11.5m (£9m/$13m) per year, not to mention bonuses.
The agreement between the club and the player looks set to be officially announced on January 10.
What does it say?
As Insigne was about to head to MLS, questions were asked about his decision to leave Europe.
