L’Oréal stops using the term ‘whitening’ for products | Abroad

“L’Oréal Group has decided to remove words like ‘white / whitening’, ‘light / lightening’ from the packaging of all skin products,” the company said. The name change is a result of the racism debate. The announcement follows the announcement earlier this week that Unilever will change the name of skin product ‘Fair & Lovely’.

L’Oreál – like other companies – has recently been criticized for the products in the range that would lighten the skin.
