At least this is what you can see from the latest Insomniac tweet, which includes a screenshot from Resistance 2 of 2008 for the PlayStation 3. The attached text reads: “You think you’re lucky, jerk?”.
Is Insomniac Games working on a remaster of the Resistance series or on a completely new game in the series? Insomniac recently wrote about the series, and last week the studio asked fans about the multiplayer mode in Resistance 3.
Over the past few years, fans have constantly asked Insomniac about possible remasters and a new game for the PlayStation 4. The studio has repeatedly stated that it would like to release a new game, Resistance, but also indicated that, ultimately, the last word is left to Sony, which owns the rights on the franchise.
“Sony owns IP Resistance,” Insomniac said in 2015 when she was asked about the return of the series. “The decision is hers.”
However, this was many years ago, and since Sony recently acquired Insomniac, the studio can work on the franchise again. Of course, at the moment this is just an assumption.
